Day 17: Cape Horn

Oct 21 2019

We had very calm sailing going through the Beagle Channel and came around to Cape Horn. This is a very rocky landing and steep rise from the sea. The lighthouse is managed by the Navy and a family stays there for 9 months at a time. The current family is on their second go round, they love it. We bought some rocks they had painted.

An albatross statue that can be seen from the sea

There is a monument of an albatross to the sailors who have lost their lives rounding Cape Horn. Very beautiful, impressive rocky scenery.

The dudes came to check it out too.
