Galapagos Day 4: Isabela Island

Nov 09 2021

Today we had a chance to see our first Giant Tortoises on Isabela Island. We hiked the island and saw some of the unique volcanic geology en route to our first tortoise. Along the way we also encountered many varieties of Darwin’s finches - a key species in the discovery of evolution.

As always, Julia and Adrian hopped in the water and saw some amazing sights under the water while snorkeling. From mating sea lions to a cormorant hunting, it was an action packed afternoon!
